Any Skaikan here, respond to this. (That means people who are part of the clan...)

I figure we need to do something. I haven't created this clan, and gotten you guys to join for nothing. Anybody have any ideas right off the top of their head? I might have a few, but I'm not sure yet, I wanna hear from 'yall. (lol, yeah right... 'yall... I'm not american.)

I am very calm, friend. I am just trying to make you realize some consequences of your decisions. We played many games together, and, no offense, you didn't do very well. I just read your reply in the Icedale game thread about your builder, and my reply goes along the same line. Every decision has long term consequences.

Also, you want a clan of fearsome players or not :p

Take or leave my advice. I'm just trying to be friendly and help you with strategy. If you ask me to, I won't do it again.

On the contrary, I find your advice quite useful and as a result I plan to move more units into the upper caverns on my next turn. I admit I haven't done so well in earlier games we have played... so I have come up with a few ideas that I am currently attempting to use. I'd tell you about said ideas, but that could result in a compromised strategy on certain maps in which we are currently playing against people who would also be able to read what I am doing.

Please, if you have any other ideas/criticism which could result in a better play strategy on my part, go ahead and let me know.

Guys, we need to share info and I would also like some takes on what may be better to produce. I do not mean regular review of Orcish units, but having on mind this specific map and the fact that we are allied.
!!!Important!!! You did not say what are you researching. It would be a waste if everyone researches Enchant Weapon, for example. We can buff our heroes/stronger units nicely if we have more spells available, may be important in these pesky caves where you cannot always use few stacks. As I said, I have HAlo and will have Fury on the next turn. Fury is good, you buff your heroes defence, and then you find items and can give some back in favor of attack (my 2c)

Well, Oleg, since we'll be mostly travelling in the underground, I'd build hell hounds, darters and heavy cavalry. They will be able to move 8 hexes instead of 6 and will constitute a sufficiently powerful attack force. This way, you'll be able to catch fleeing enemy troops, explore faster, and compete the movement of the most dangerous enemy, dwarven soldiers. The drawback is the high cost of such stacks, but you do pay for the power they provide. So do not waste your troops casually, since the enemy will outproduce you when you don't have any more income. Head ahead and capture a city in the caverns. Your faster troops will save a turn of movement every three turns, thus able to reinforce your captured city faster.

Master, if I were you, I'd spam goblins to capture structures in the caverns. Your goblin city lets you send them fast in the caverns. You would pay 12 upkeep per unit produced in your dark elven city before they reach the the caverns. Build kobolds instead, since dark elves would just slow down the goblins' movement advantage. Nice poisonous stacks. Save gold to upgrade your capital to level 3, since this is were the dark elves really shine. I killed so many high level heroes with stacks of 5+ stoneskinned executionners. Fearsome soldiers. And spider queens do have their use. So build a few to move 12 hexes. Nobody can compete in movement in the underground with them. Also, remember that I gave the Dark Elves the air sphere, so hasted elites will be impossible to escape from (spider queens can move 18 hexes o_0).

Sorry, Froster, but you're pretty stuck with building wraiths or demons in my opinion. It'll be a slow start, but you'll kick ass big time soon enough.

All of you, remember that this is an emperor AI. They WILL have more troops than us and WILL enchant almost all their units (watch out for magic strike, Froster).

On a side note, Master discovered a buried crypt in the northern caverns. I'll send a beetle there when I can.

I see that Froster did not go for that 2Hex in the depth I left for him. So I bought it this turn. I think about going with some 20 soldiers in Elves' direction (another purchase in the caves is scheduled for tomorrow). What is your opinion on that? Is it too risky to lead the troops by the leader? Will it leave our defences in the East too weak?

It is nice to see that Gobbon Beatle Smile Many burried treasures await for a digger to claim them.

We hadn't the patience to wait for enough money to capture an Undead city... so we took it by force. The units there can be replaced... bigger... better... stronger.... and of a higher level which could easily be attained within a few days if need be.

Finally cast the first Gold Rush. Mad income is coming our way. Ask, and I shall give.

Oleg, don't attack with your leader. The AI is on Emperor, so almost all troops are enchanted and heros are already level 4. You should defend key positions and wait to have appropriate troops to begin an attack. Elves already have the elf city in the northern caverns. Expect them to be a major nuisance. We need to take advantage of the three 3hexes we control in the caverns (Oleg, you need to control that orc one soon). Having more level 3 units than the enemy will win us this game.

3hex bought, 1hex scheduled for tomorrow (so no money for upgrades or production now).
I made myself to pull my hero and leader towards caves-depth tunnel, but could not help some other risk - my troops emerged on the surface, captured Elven 2hex and razed it. Would run away immediately, but did not want to leave Priest behind, so everybody is retreating together. There was a major bad surprise as Bats (in opposite to AOW2) do not posess Steal Life... My bad, so needed to rout more troops than planned.
Other than that I have two Fire Halos ready for casting, so if anyone wants some, come and get it.
I do not like the Elves in our caves, will protect the Eastern side...

Nice move, Oleg. Surprising that there were not more defenses in that halfling town. You sure have a big army. You could oust the elves from the caverns and hold the eastern surface access. Think you can do it ?

I am not sure if I can do both all on my own...
My forces retreat from the surface, one Pony Rider brought down on the way. I do not know if the Elves in the caves are many, so I pulled my hero and leader to the South to join the main group. So if the Elves are many and sneaky, they can make some trouble in the depth, but it is not likely. I will secure this tunnel tomorrow.

The forces above there were not big, I wonder if they are upgrading all the way... We'll also have to figure out where to bring the rams from, when time comes to it...

And my gold is low, could not even produce Hell Hound, was short of one buck...

Dark Elves - The Eighth Day

Diary ~ Monwe, Leader of the Dark Elves

We seem to have walked into a trap. As we neared the cave entrance, two highmen groups ambushed us. They were fended off with only the loss of a spider queen and a goblin darter. Unfortunately for the Highmen, not only did we manage to kill their troops, but we--no... I, killed one of their commanders. If not for me, he would have survived and escaped. Still, the Highmen are sure to find out soon that their commander is lost to them. A commander who has gone missing for a few days rarely goes unnoticed. Besides, we seem to have been "happened" upon by more Halflings, only a short time after the fight. These Halflings ARE in fact, under Halfling influence, who number one and a half score (my score being 8).
